Happy hump day everyone! Today, I am going to share my opinion on two new products I am wearing in these photos.  I normally don’t (or at least hadn’t up until now) talk about beauty products here, so I thought today would be a great day to start.  As many of you have noticed by now, I love make up and when I am not out shopping for clothes, shoes and bags, you can find me at the makeup counters of Neiman Marcus or Nordstrom.  I personally love Chanel and have been using their skin-care products as well as makeup since college, and they just keep getting better.  I have two other favorite skin-care lines I use, which I hope to share with you in the near future.

I have read many positive feedbacks and reviews about Chanel quad “Raffinement” lately, so I thought I would go check it out in person.  However, I found that “Raffinement” was too similar to “Dunes,” which I already own.  Needless to say, I ended up getting another neutral quad, #33 “Prelude” as well as a Rouge Coco Shine lipstick in #69 “Flirt”.
I absolutely love every aspect of the quad, and it’s definitely on its way of becoming one of my daily quintessential quads I use.  On the other hand, I personally could’ve done without the lipstick.  While Chanel’s other lipstick lines such as Rouge Allure, Rouge Allure Velvet and Rouge Allure Satin are long lasting, fast drying, and highly pigmented, this particular Coco Shine in #60 “Flirt” was a total miss for me.  It took 3+ layers for its coral hue to peak through, and it required re-applications and touch-ups every 2 hours.  Nonetheless, if you are a fan of sheer and “lip balm-y” lipsticks and diligent about re-applying your lipstick through out the day, this product might work perfectly for you.  For now, let’s just say I will be sticking to Chanel’s other lipstick lines…

IMG_2997 I have an apple shaped body.  In other words, I have skinny legs, narrow (or non-existent) hips, and a short, straight torso with no  waistline.  For this reason, I always have to make a conscious effort to accent my waist and create a waistline.  Coats like this are perfect for those with similar body shapes as mine because it cinches at the waist and flares out, building a thin waistline and adding natural curves to your figure.
