Back to Basics//Black and Highlights

Hi everyone, I hope you are enjoying your Friday!  If you haven’t noticed already, I am a die hard fan of black and monochromatic hues.  As much as I adore and drool over prints and patterns on others, I just don’t feel they look right on me.  But my goal is to break out from my comfort zone and totally rock those prints as you guys do.  I just have to take baby steps. :)

IMG_3218IMG_3208 IMG_3239 IMG_3232You would not believe how much I paid for these Prada pumps.  After being marked down multiple times on the clearance rack, they came to be somewhere about $195.  What a steal!!!  I normally wear 35 or 35.5, but these babies are 34!!  And of course, I squeezed my feet in and snatched them off the rack before anyone could come near.  I have the smallest feet ever, and the advantage to that is to score small sizes such as these pair on clearance/sale racks.  However, having small feet rarely is a good thing.  The times when I’m absolutely  set on a pair I want, I have to special order and gamble on the fit.  Also, there are occasions where I just have to accept the fact they don’t have my size because manufacturers only produce a certain number in 35s and they get sold quickly.  For example, I have never once found a pair of ZARA shoes in my size, and I don’t think this will change in future.  After searching for these ankle strappies from Song of Style (I love her so much) high and low, I have come to terms with myself that ZARA heels aren’t meant to live in  my shoe closet.

Have a wonderful weekend everyone!

  1. that is a really good deal on prada shoes. I wear 6-6.5 and love the varieties that I am able to find on sales. you look really cute as well.

  2. hehe, I share your pain in shoe hunting. I have size 36 feet, although it’s one size bigger than yours, but in the land of giants (the Netherlands) it’s still hard to hell to find anything that fit me. I normal go half or one size up actually..xoxo
